About AskLawIndia

A reference platform for Indian tax, corporate, and financial law.

Who we are

AskLawIndia is an independent knowledge platform for professionals, founders, and finance teams who need clear, practical guidance on Indian law — income tax, GST, SEBI, corporate law, insolvency, fund raising, compliance, and the circulars and notifications that shape day-to-day decisions. We publish articles, guides, checklists, templates, and case-law summaries written and reviewed by subject experts, with AI used only as an assistive tool for readability and drafting — never to publish unsupervised.

Our editorial approach

Every piece of content goes through human editorial review before it appears on the site. We prioritise accuracy, source traceability, and practical usefulness over volume. Where an article cites a statute, rule, circular, or notification, we link to the underlying legal reference so you can verify the primary source. Our AI assistant answers only from the published knowledge base and cites the articles or references it relied on — it does not improvise beyond what we have verified.

  • Subject-expert authors and reviewers own factual correctness.
  • Drafts may use AI for summaries or FAQ suggestions; editors approve every change.
  • Comments are moderated before appearing publicly.
  • Premium content and paid downloads are clearly labelled; free articles remain accessible without a subscription.

What we are not

AskLawIndia is not a law firm, chartered accountancy practice, or company-secretarial firm. We do not provide bespoke legal advice through this website. The consultation request form is a separate channel if you need to discuss engaging a professional; submitting it does not create an attorney–client or adviser–client relationship.
